DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.
Students in the Marketing class have the opportunity to sign up for and participate in DECA events and competitions throughout the year. Interested students can speak to Mrs. Hendrix for more information about joining the DECA organization.
FCCLA is the Ultimate Leadership Experience
Family, Career and Community Leaders of America is a national Career and Technical Student Organization that provides personal growth, leadership development, and career preparation opportunities for students in Family and Consumer Sciences education.
Our Mission is to promote personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Sciences education. Focusing on the multiple roles of family member, wage earner and community leader, members develop skills for life through: character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge, and career preparation.
Students in the Education & Training class have the opportunity to join FCCLA and should reach out to Mrs. Efurd if interested.
HOSA
Mission
The mission of HOSA is to empower HOSA-Future Health Professionals to become leaders in the global health community through education, collaboration, and experience.
Purpose
The purpose of the HOSA organization is to develop leadership and technical HOSA skill competencies through a program of motivation, awareness and recognition, which is an integral part of the Health Science Education instructional program.
SkillsUSA
Mission Statement:
SkillsUSA empowers its members to become world-class workers, leaders and responsible American citizens. SkillsUSA improves the quality of our nation’s future skilled workforce through the development of Framework skills that include personal, workplace and technical skills grounded in academics.
SkillsUSA serves more than 335,000 students and instructors annually. This includes 19,500 instructors who join as professional members. Including alumni, SkillsUSA membership totals over 395,000. SkillsUSA has served more than 12.5 million annual members cumulatively since 1965.

How to Apply
In order to take a class at HCCA, students will need to meet with the counselor at their school to determine if and when the class will fit into their schedule. The graphic below shows each school and their counselor for reference.
