Education & Training

Think what it would be like if you could get hands-on experience on a career path you have been interested in for quite some time. That’s the skills you will learn in our Education in Training program. These courses will provide you with the knowledge and practice you need to be college-and-career ready for many different pathways in the workforce, and in life.

Some of the career opportunities that our program can prepare you for are:

  • Preschool teacher
  • Elementary teacher
  • Secondary teacher
  • Any specialized teacher
  • Teacher’s aide
  • College Professor
  • Coach
  • Child Care Director
  • Curriculum Specialist
  • Director of a child care facility
  • Human resources
  • Child care worker

The classes are a cluster of two designed to complement each other, and give you a first-hand look at a career in education. We will engage in hands-on learning, and in addition go into classrooms to learn first-hand how teachers work with their students in a true educational setting. This field experience will give the students a chance to work with children, and work with an experienced teacher.

The courses are:

  • Education and Training
  • Teaching I
  • Professional Support Services in Education
  • Teaching II
